Eagleview Crossing

Working Alongside Authorities

In high-profile areas, the challenge of performing site work only increases. In the case of the Eagleview Crossing site on Pottstown Pike, we worked closely with local authorities and the PA Turnpike Commission in order to minimize disruption of utilities and ensure safety of others while blasting in close proximity to the PA Turnpike.

Just off the Turnpike Interchange in Upper Uwchlan and Uwchlan Townships in Chester County we were contracted by the Hankin Group to clear and excavate for a new restaurant and hotel. We also installed storm water control basins, sanitary sewer and storm water systems, and a decorative pond. To ensure we worked according to local requirements and understood potential obstacles, we met with utility authorities early on. We also worked closely with the PA Turnpike Commission to coordinate blasting near the heavily travelled highway during off-peak hours. All blasting was completed without incident and without stopping traffic.

Our pre-project planning helped us finish the job on time and on budget. By working with the authorities up front, we minimized the risk of unexpected obstacles, utility strikes and accidents, while keeping the community safe.
