Estimator - Energy Services and Lehigh

This position works closely with our Take-Off Technicians, Operations teams and clients. They develop project proposals using our wide range of expertise to help clients manage risk and reduce stress.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for generating high quality and accurate estimates, proposals and change orders in an effective and efficient manner
  • Understands and interprets, with accuracy, project blueprints, drawings, maps, bidding specifications, scope descriptions, contracts and related documents
  • Prepares estimates, proposals, accompanying cost information and schedules
  • Operates a computerized bidding system with precision and speed
  • Addresses bid requests, estimates and proposals in a prompt, professional and courteous manner
  • Coordinates and oversees project turn-over meetings, providing project teams with all background information for a successful completion

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelors of Science in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 2-3 years with bidding projects for the commercial, gas and oil industry
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with bidding and operational software (Microsoft Office, B2W Estimate & Track, and Microsoft Projects)
  • Excellent math and project accounting skills
  • Experience with reading plans
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to the Liberty and Lehigh office

Pipe Supervisor - Energy Services

This position is responsible for coordinating and managing all underground pipe installation activities, including personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors. Qualified candidates must have prior experience and be familiar with sanitary, storm and waterline applications as well as trenching, confined space and construction safety regulations.

Qualified candidates should have:

  • At least 5 years “hands on” experience covering all duties and responsibilities associated with all types of pipe and utility installation
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • The ability to successfully coordinate schedules and meet budget
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills
  • The ability to read and interpret blue prints & contracts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to job site locations in Tioga, Bradford, and Lycoming county

Equipment Operators - Excavator, Dozer, and Grader - Energy Services

Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • Able to work independently
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a piece of equipment
  • Previous field experience is required
  • Willingness to travel

Utility Mini Excavator - Energy Services

When functioning as part of a utility crew, the operator is responsible for digging trenches, loading materials on off road trucks, and working with various attachments (hydraulic breaker, hydraulic tamper, etc.). Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years of experience with precise digging around many existing utilities and a willingness to travel. UGI or NGA qualifications are preferred.

Heavy Equipment Technician - Energy Services

Performs scheduled preventative maintenance, repairs and replacement work on equipment at the job sites and/or in the shop. Work is done primarily during day light hours and requires flexibility to accommodate job schedules.

Responsibilities include:

  • Uses modern equipment and computer programs to troubleshoot, analyze, and adjust the equipment’s internal systems
  • Determines parts that are needed or must be fabricated, and orders parts and materials through appropriate departments
  • Assures that equipment assigned is in good working condition and meets all safety specifications.
  • Troubleshoots engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical and related systems
  • Repairs or rebuilds engines and systems
  • Reads and interprets manuals and schematic diagrams
  • Effectively communicates with site superintendents on the job sites about the status of equipment repair
Qualified candidates will have a CDL Class B license and at least one year of experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy excavation/construction equipment.

Vacuum Truck Operator - Energy Services

Responsible to use a Vacuum Truck to locate utilities services. Qualified applicants will be a hard working team player familiar with sanitary, storm and waterline applications, and trenching and confined space regulations. Class A CDL drivers license with a tanker endorsement and 1 year of experience in a similar position is preferred.

Pipe Layer/Laborer - Energy Services

Responsible for installing and repairing small diameter gas lines. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience, preferably with UGI. Qualified candidates must have a willingness to travel. UGI or NGA qualifications preferred.

General Laborer - Energy Services

This position performs a wide variety of manual tasks designated by the supervisor, including:

  • Hand digging with a shovel
  • Jack hammering asphalt/concrete
  • Carrying a wide variety of materials and tools
  • Signaling equipment operators to facilitate alignment or adjustment of materials or equipment
  • Operating small pieces of equipment such as cut-off saws, compaction equipment, and light vehicles
  • Assisting supervisor with setting up grade stakes and setting inlets, manholes, and water valve boxes to grade.
  • Using hand tools
Qualified candidates will be willing to travel.
